Noose (1958 film)

Noose Polish Ptla is a 1957 Polish film directed by Wojciech Jerzy Has, starring Gustaw Holoubek. The film is an adaptation of a short story by Marek Hasko and follows the day in the life an alcoholic.

Released onJanuary 1958, the film is Hass debut feature film and regarded as one of the most interesting film adaptations of Marek Haskos work and actor Gustaw Holoubeks first great work. The films cynical vision ensured that communist authorities in Poland did not give it permission to be shown abroad.
